Phase One of the "Taylors Falls School Remembrance Walk"
TFSF sponsoring the "Taylors Falls School Remembrance Walk"
Be a part of the first phase of the brick Taylors Falls School Remembrance Walk! The bricks will be placed in an area by the perennial garden in front of the school.
You are invited to buy a brick for yourself or someone else, to honor a former or current Taylors Falls student, to acknowledge a special occasion such as a graduation. Or purchase a brick for a favorite teacher or special community member!
You will be able to create your own message. Bricks are 4" x 8", up to 3 lines, 14 characters, including punctuation and spaces, per line. A single brick is $60, 2 or more bricks ordered at a time are $50 each.
To leave a lasting impression at the Taylors Falls School, please download this form to order your brick. All forms should be sent with a check or money order payable to "Taylors Falls School Foundation" and sent to Taylors Falls School Remembrance Walk, 648 West Street, Taylors Falls, MN 55084. All proceeds from the campaign will go to the Taylors Falls School Foundation for benefit of the students of Taylors Falls Elementary.

$1,600 donation to Taylors Falls Elementary
The Taylors Falls School Foundation gave $1,000 for the outdoor classroom project. TFE and Taylors Falls Parents for Education are working together to build an outdoor structure to act as a outdoor classroom. Construction slated to begin Summer 2011.
A donation of $600 was used to purchase a gathering rug for one of the kindergarten classrooms.
TFSF helps purchase new interactive equipment
Taylors Falls School Foundation presented Joe Thimm, Taylors Falls Elementary School Principal, with a check for $2,500.00. The money was used to purchase an Interactive Polycom View Station. This system allows a classroom teacher to access programs, from places such as the Minnesota History Center and the Minnesota Zoo, in which students can experience living history through the video screen. There are a number of these programs covering different relevant topics. The foundation has given over $5,000.00 to Taylors Falls School since June of 2009.
Dedication of New Wing
On October 9, 2008 the new wing of Taylors Falls Elementary School was dedicated to Jerry Vitalis (Class of 1954). The Gerald D. Vitalis Education Wing honors the many contributions Jerry has made to the Chisago Lakes School District and Taylors Falls Elementary School. Jerry has served on the Chisago Lakes School Board for over 30 years and is a substitute teacher at Taylors Falls Elementary School. A reception followed the dedication ceremony. In attendance were School Board members, Elementary School staff, family and many friends. Thanks for all of your hard work Jerry!
